Siri is stirring a lot of action on social media sites. User experience has been varied as to how well it seems to recognize a command and provide appropriate feedback. Apple still has this software as “beta” state, so that leaves room for improvement.

I’m very interested to see how your experience has been so far with Siri. I’d love to get your vote and comments!

I love Siri so far. I can only see it/her getting better as Apple works out the server-side kinks and adds functionality. At the top of my wishlist for new features: being able to change the phone’s settings. For instance, how much easier would it be to tell Siri to “turn on bluetooth” instead of having to go to Settings>General>Bluetooth>On?

It would also be nice if it could integrate with the existing voice recognition app so commands that didn’t require external processing (like the above bluetooth request or even asking Siri to play a song that’s on your phone). If I’m in an area with little or no reception, I’d still like Siri to work with some tasks.

Finally, how is it that iOS 5 has Twitter integration throughout, and yet Siri can’t create and send Tweets for me? The closest way I’ve found to do it is to send a text message to Twitter, which then appears in my feed. That’s okay I guess, except I’m paying for that text message when I can use the Twitter app to do it for free.

Dustin, great feedback. Agree about controlling settings and other “on phone” features where connection to the internet doesn’t seem necessary.
